10 A continuous rating — what it buys your rail
The TPS22811LRPWR is a single-channel high-side load switch rated for 10 A continuous output with a typical on-resistance of 6 mOhm. At 10 A the conduction loss is 0.6 W — the 10-VQFN-HR package's exposed pad needs a solid copper pour on the PCB to keep the junction below 125°C.
Fault protection set — what it replaces on the board
The TPS22811LRPWR integrates fixed current limiting, over-voltage protection, over-temperature shutdown, short-circuit protection, and UVLO. That eliminates the external supervisor, current-sense resistor, and comparator for most designs. The slew-rate controlled turn-on limits inrush into capacitive loads — no separate soft-start capacitor needed.
Temperature grade and package reality
The 10-VQFN-HR (2x2) package is a 2 mm × 2 mm QFN with an exposed pad; the 0.5 mm pitch demands a 2-layer board at minimum, but a 4-layer with thermal vias under the pad is safer for 10 A continuous.
