ExpressCard slot power switch — 1.3A per channel, 45mOhm
The TPS2231PWP is a three-output high-side power switch designed for ExpressCard slots. It switches both the 3.3V auxiliary rail and the 1.5V core rail, with a typical on-resistance of 45mOhm per channel — the voltage drop at 1.3A is under 60mV, which keeps the 1.5V rail within the ExpressCard tolerance budget. Each output is current-limited to a fixed threshold and protected against overtemperature. The power-good and status-flag outputs let the host controller sequence the slot power and detect faults without polling the switch.
Package and thermal — 24-TSSOP exposed pad
The 3:3 input-to-output ratio means each input rail feeds one output — no internal cross-connection. The switch does not require a separate Vcc/Vdd supply; it powers itself from the load rails.
