PCMCIA power switch — four outputs, 3:4 mux
The Texas Instruments TPS2223DB is a PCMCIA power-distribution switch with four high-side outputs and a 3:4 input-to-output ratio, meaning any of three supply inputs can be routed to any of four output slots independently via a serial interface. Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown; the status flag output reports overcurrent or thermal events to the host controller.
Package and footprint — 24-SSOP, 0.209-inch body
Housed in a 24-SSOP (0.209-inch body width, 5.30 mm) with a 0.0256-inch (0.65 mm) lead pitch — a standard surface-mount footprint that reflows on a conventional profile without a stencil step. Supplied in Tube (rail) packaging; the 24-SSOP is also available in Tape & Reel under the TPS2223DBR variant for automated pick-and-place.
