It integrates two independent output channels, each rated for a continuous 1A maximum, with a typical on-resistance of 70 mOhm to minimise voltage drop and power dissipation. The switch accepts a 3:1 input-to-output ratio and supports load voltages of 3.3V, 5V, and 12V — covering the full PCMCIA voltage envelope for memory, I/O, and ATA card types. A parallel interface provides straightforward control from a host controller or GPIO.
Protection and operating range
Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown, safeguarding the switch and the card slot under short-circuit or thermal overload conditions. A status flag output signals fault events to the system controller. No external Vcc supply is required — the switch is self-powered from the load rail.
