The Texas Instruments TPS2206IDB is a PCMCIA/CardBus power-distribution switch array integrating four high-side outputs in a 30-SSOP package. It is designed to supply the VCC and VPP rails required by PCMCIA slots — 3.3 V, 5 V, and 12 V loads — with a typical on-resistance of 103 mOhm per channel. A serial interface selects among the four outputs using a 3:4 input-to-output ratio, while the status flag reports fault conditions. Fault protection includes current limiting (fixed threshold) and over-temperature shutdown.

Each output is rated for 1 A continuous maximum. At 103 mOhm typical Rds(on), the voltage drop at full load is about 103 mV — a 3.1 % loss on a 3.3 V rail, which is within the PCMCIA voltage tolerance but worth accounting for in the slot's input capacitance and decoupling layout. The switch does not require a separate Vcc/Vdd supply for its own logic, simplifying the power tree.

The 30-SSOP package (0.209-inch body width, 5.30 mm) is a surface-mount gull-wing leadform. The 0.65 mm pitch is compatible with standard 2-layer PCB routing; no blind vias or microvias are needed for fan-out.
