Product details

PCMCIA slot power switch — four outputs, three supply rails

The Texas Instruments TPS2206ADBR is a PCMCIA power-interface switch designed to distribute 3.3 V, 5 V, and 12 V to the card slot from a single controller. It integrates four high-side outputs, each rated for 1 A continuous, with a typical on-resistance of 95 mOhm per channel. Three supply inputs (VCC, VPP1, VPP2) are switched to four outputs — two for VCC and two for VPP.

Fault protection and status flag

Built-in fault protection includes fixed current limiting and over-temperature shutdown, eliminating the need for external sense resistors or comparators on the slot power rail. A status flag output reports over-current or thermal fault conditions to the host controller.

Supplied in a 30-SSOP package (0.209-inch body width, 5.30 mm height) on Tape & Reel, surface-mount.
