Dual-input power mux for handheld designs
The TPS2113PWG4 is a source selector switch from Texas Instruments that routes one of two power inputs (2:1 ratio) to a single output, using an internal N-channel FET. It targets handheld and mobile devices where a battery and a USB or adapter supply share the same load rail. Output current is rated up to 1.25 A, and the quiescent supply current is only 55 µA — low enough to avoid draining the battery when the device is in standby.
Supply range and switching timing
The ON delay is 1 ms and the OFF delay is 5 ms, giving the downstream regulator time to settle before the switchover completes.
Package and lifecycle status
Housed in an 8-TSSOP package (4.40 mm wide body) for surface-mount assembly.
