Fixed protection set — no external supervisor needed
Fault protection is built in: fixed current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The status flag output (open-drain, active low) asserts when the switch is in current limit or thermal shutdown, giving the host controller a direct fault indication without extra logic.
The 8-HVSSOP package with exposed pad pulls heat into the PCB copper plane; the board layout's thermal pad area sets the effective RthJA, not the package alone.
