The Texas Instruments TPD2E001DRYRG4 is a two-channel steering (rail-to-rail) ESD protection diode array, purpose-built for high-speed differential interfaces like Ethernet. Each unidirectional channel clamps transients between the signal line and the supply rails, shunting ESD energy away from the protected IC. With a reverse standoff voltage of 5.5V (max) and a minimum breakdown of 11V, it sits comfortably on 3.3V or 5V Ethernet PHY rails without loading the signal during normal operation. Power line protection is built in — the clamp engages on both the signal-to-VCC and signal-to-GND paths.
