The 176-BGA package (15x15 mm) demands a multilayer PCB with controlled impedance and via-in-pad for the BGA balls — not a hand-solder candidate, and rework requires a BGA rework station with X-ray inspection afterward. The 88 I/O lines and peripheral set including CANbus, SPI, and multiple serial interfaces give it the connectivity for a distributed vehicle or factory network node.
Supply voltage and power rail considerations
Core and I/O supply is a single 1.805 V to 1.995 V rail. The internal POR and WDT peripherals reduce external supervisor IC count.
Peripheral set and data conversion
A 16-channel, 12-bit ADC is integrated, suitable for three-phase current sensing plus DC bus voltage and temperature monitoring in a motor drive. The PWM peripherals with dead-band generation pair directly with the ADC for synchronized sampling. DMA offloads data movement between ADC result registers and RAM without CPU intervention, preserving the 150 MHz throughput for control math.
