What this C2000 part is and where it lands
The Texas Instruments TMS320F2809PZQ is a 32-bit fixed-point C28x DSC running at 100 MHz with automotive AEC-Q100 qualification. It carries 256 KB of Flash and 18K x 16 of RAM, a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, and a full CAN/I²C/SCI/SPI/UART peripheral set in a 100-LQFP package.
Peripheral set and I/O
The peripheral mix includes CAN, I²C, SCI, SPI, and UART — enough for a distributed automotive network with a CAN bus to the ECU, SPI to an external encoder interface, and SCI for a debug or calibration link. The 35 GPIO pins and the 16-channel 12-bit ADC cover the analog sensing side: three-phase currents, DC-link voltage, and a couple of temperature inputs. The POR, PWM, and WDT peripherals are the standard on-chip safety and timing resources for a real-time controller.
