90 MHz C28x core — real-time loop headroom
The TMS320F28065PZPS: The C28x core runs at 90 MHz, setting the PWM update rate and ADC sampling window for motor-drive or digital-power loops.
Industrial temperature range and package
Rated for -40°C to 125°C ambient, this MCU is suited for under-hood automotive, outdoor telecom cabinets, and factory-floor motor drives.
Peripheral set and connectivity
On-chip peripherals include a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, six PWM modules with dead-band generation, and a watchdog timer. Communication interfaces cover CANbus, I²C, SPI, SCI, and UART/USART — enough for a CANopen node with a local sensor bus. The 54 GPIOs can be mapped to most of these interfaces, but the pin-multiplexing table in the datasheet must be checked early in layout to avoid routing conflicts.
Lifecycle and sourcing
This MCU carries an EOL hot lifecycle stage, meaning TI has announced end-of-life and a last-time-buy window is open or closing.
