60 MHz C28x core — real-time control loop headroom
The TMS320F28050PNT is a 32-bit C28x MCU clocked at 60 MHz. The 32 KB (16K x 16) Flash and 6K x 16 RAM are sized for a single motor-control algorithm plus a CANopen or Modbus RTU node.
On-chip peripherals — what you get without external glue
The 16-channel 12-bit ADC samples simultaneously with the PWM timers, so current-sense and voltage-feedback readings align to the switching edge without software skew. Connectivity covers CAN, I²C, SCI, SPI, and UART — enough to talk to a resolver interface, an encoder, and a PLC over CANopen without adding an external bridge. The 42 GPIOs in the 80-LQFP package leave headroom for a few limit switches, a relay driver, and a status LED bank.
