Peripherals and connectivity for fieldbus and actuator control
The TMS320F28035MPNTEP: On-chip peripherals include a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, PWM modules, and a watchdog timer, plus brown-out detect and POR for supervised startup. The connectivity set — CANbus, I²C, LINbus, SCI, SPI, and UART/USART — lets this MCU talk to motor encoders, battery-management ICs, and a vehicle CAN backbone without external transceivers on the digital side. Forty-five GPIOs in the 80-LQFP package give enough pins to handle a three-phase inverter with Hall-sensor feedback and a few auxiliary relays.

Housed in an 80-lead LQFP with a 12x12 mm body, this part uses a standard 0.5 mm pitch. The supplier device package is 80-LQFP (12x12). Surface-mount assembly is straightforward for any line that handles QFP packages. No exposed thermal pad — junction-to-ambient dissipation relies on the leadframe and board copper; keep the ambient airflow in mind if the 60 MHz core runs continuous PWM at high duty cycles.
Supply rail and power management
Brown-out detect and POR are integrated, so the reset circuit can be minimal: just a pull-up on the reset pin and a decoupling cap on the core rail.
