Obsolete — sourcing for legacy BOM lines
The TMS320F2802GGMA is officially obsolete per Texas Instruments. No new designs should target this order code.
100 MHz C28x core — real-time control headroom
The 100 MHz C28x fixed-point core delivers enough throughput for single-loop motor control, digital power conversion, and inverter commutation at switching frequencies up to tens of kilohertz. The 32-bit data path handles the accumulator width needed for PID and Park/Clarke transforms without overflow management in software.
64 KB Flash and 6K x 16 RAM — firmware footprint
64 KB of on-chip Flash (32K x 16) and 6K x 16 SRAM are available.
Industrial temperature grade and analog interface
The 16-channel 12-bit ADC provides simultaneous sampling.
Package and supply
Housed in a 100-ball BGA MICROSTAR (10x10 mm), the device requires a 1.71 V to 1.89 V core supply. The BGA footprint demands a multi-layer PCB with via-in-pad capability for routing the fine-pitch balls to the inner layers.
