60 MHz C28x core for real-time control loops
The TMS320F28015PZS: 32-bit fixed-point MCU with C28x core clocked at 60 MHz. 32 KB Flash and 6K x 16 RAM support sensor-feedback loops and commutation algorithms.
Automotive temperature grade and qualification
Rated for -40 to 125°C and AEC-Q100 qualified. 1.71 V to 1.89 V core supply keeps power dissipation low.
Peripherals and connectivity for field-oriented control
On-chip peripherals include POR, PWM, and WDT — the PWM module is the key block for generating complementary gate-drive signals with dead-band insertion. Connectivity covers I²C, SCI, SPI, and UART/USART, enough to talk to an external encoder, a Hall sensor interface, or a CAN transceiver (CAN is not integrated; an external controller is needed). The 35 GPIOs map to a 100-LQFP package with a 14x14 mm footprint, which is manageable for a two-layer power board.
