60 MHz fixed-point C28x for real-time control loops
It runs at 60 MHz with a single-cycle 32x32-bit MAC, giving a deterministic interrupt latency that keeps current-loop update rates predictable for motor drives, digital power supplies, and battery management. The 32 KB on-chip Flash and 6K x 16 SRAM are sized for a single-axis field-oriented control (FOC) algorithm or a two-switch PFC firmware stack — you will be counting bytes if you add a comms stack and a bootloader on top.

Supply rail and decoupling notes
Do not share this rail with 3.3 V I/O; the VDDIO pins run separately. Without the pad soldered to a copper pour, junction temperature rises quickly above 70°C ambient at 60 MHz full-tilt.
The base product number TMS320 covers a wide family, so if you later need more Flash or a higher core speed, the pin-compatible F28004x devices are a natural path without a board respin.
Peripherals and I/O for control applications
The device integrates a 16-channel 12-bit ADC, PWM outputs, a watchdog timer, and a power-on-reset block. The 35 general-purpose I/O pins are 3.3 V tolerant and can be configured for the PWM and capture inputs that motor-control firmware expects.
