Sensor identity and key parametrics
The TMP112AIDRLT is a digital local temperature sensor from Texas Instruments, outputting 12-bit temperature data over an I²C/SMBus interface. Its ±0.5°C typical accuracy at room temperature makes it suitable for thermal management in embedded systems where a thermistor's analog path would add cost and board area. Supply voltage spans 1.4V to 3.6V, allowing direct connection to 1.8V and 3.3V logic rails without an external LDO.
Housed in a SOT-563 package, the TMP112AIDRLT occupies roughly 1.6 mm × 1.6 mm on the board. The 0.50 mm pin pitch requires a fine-pitch soldering profile and a stencil aperture matched to the pad geometry for consistent solder paste volume.
Low-power features for duty-cycled operation
Built-in One-Shot and Shutdown Mode let the sensor sleep between measurements, drawing minimal quiescent current. In battery-powered designs, the firmware can wake the sensor, take a reading, and return to shutdown — extending cell life compared to continuous-conversion parts.
ROHS3 compliant — no exemption-based restrictions for EU or global markets. The SOT-563 package is lead-free compatible; verify your reflow profile against the recommended peak temperature in the datasheet.
