Package and board integration
The TLC2274MD comes in a 14-SOIC package (0.154" body width, 3.90 mm) with a surface-mount footprint. The 14-SOIC outline demands a standard 1.27 mm pitch land pattern — the same footprint used by most general-purpose quad op-amps in this class, so a board layout originally targeting a different quad op-amp in 14-SOIC often accepts this part without a respin.
Signal conditioning at the rail
Rail-to-rail output swing means the amplifier can drive its output to within millivolts of the supply rails — useful when the ADC reference or comparator threshold sits near the supply, as in a single-supply 5 V system where the full-scale signal is 0.1 V to 4.9 V. With a gain-bandwidth product of 2.25 MHz and a slew rate of 3.6 V/µs, the TLC2274MD handles audio-band signals up to about 20 kHz with full output swing, or higher-frequency small-signal paths where the closed-loop gain is low. The 3.6 V/µs slew rate limits the large-signal bandwidth to roughly 200 kHz at 2.8 V peak-to-peak — above that, the output edges round off.
Temperature grade and deployment
The operating temperature range spans -55°C to 125°C (TA), which is the military-grade band. This qualifies the part for avionics, satellite, downhole instrumentation, and engine-bay electronics where the ambient can exceed 105°C. The 125°C upper limit also covers the hot-spot temperature inside a sealed enclosure without active cooling.
DC precision and power budget
Input offset voltage is 300 µV typical and input bias current is 1 pA typical — low enough for precision DC conditioning of sensor outputs like thermocouples or strain gauges without trimming. The 4.8 mA total supply current across all four amplifiers (1.2 mA per channel) keeps the thermal rise low in the 14-SOIC package, even when driving 50 mA per channel into a load.
