The SN75LVDS9638DR: With two drivers and zero receivers, this part is strictly a transmit-side component — you pair it with a separate LVDS receiver at the far end.
The 155 Mbps data rate is the per-channel ceiling for NRZ signalling. The LVDS common-mode range of 0.2V to 2.2V means the receiver side needs its own termination and bias — the driver itself does not include fail-safe biasing.
That means TI no longer produces this order code; no last-time-buy window remains open. There is no direct factory lead time to reference.
Package and footprint — 8-SOIC layout notes
The SN75LVDS9638DR is supplied in an 8-SOIC package with a body width of 3.90 mm (0.154 inch). It is a surface-mount device, so the PCB footprint follows the standard SOIC-8 land pattern.
