FlatLink™ LVDS Driver — 5-Channel Unidirectional Serializer
The Texas Instruments SN75LVDS83DGG is a 5-driver, 0-receiver LVDS line driver from the FlatLink™ series, designed to serialize a 28-bit parallel CMOS/TTL data bus into four LVDS data streams plus a dedicated LVDS clock channel.
NRND — Plan for a Last-Time Buy or Replacement
This means TI has flagged it for eventual discontinuation; it remains available for existing production runs but is not intended for new design-ins. Buyers should evaluate their volume requirements and consider a last-time buy to secure inventory for the remaining production lifecycle. For new designs, a pin-compatible or functionally equivalent alternative should be identified.
5/0 Driver/Receiver Configuration — Unidirectional Link Only
With five drivers and zero receivers, this part is strictly a unidirectional serializer. It takes a 28-bit parallel bus and outputs four LVDS data pairs and one LVDS clock pair. There is no provision for a return channel or bidirectional data flow on the same set of pins. If your application requires bidirectional LVDS communication, this is not the correct device.
56-TSSOP Package — Fine-Pitch Surface Mount
The SN75LVDS83DGG is supplied in a 56-pin TFSOP (Thin Fine-pitch Small Outline Package) with a 0.240-inch body width and 6.10 mm nominal width, also referred to as a 56-TSSOP. It is a surface-mount device intended for automated assembly.
