Eight-channel LVDS driver — pure transmit, no receive
The Texas Instruments SN75LVDS389DBTG4 is an eight-channel LVDS line driver in a 38-pin TSSOP package. It is a transmit-only part: the 8/0 driver/receiver count means all eight channels are outputs, with no integrated receiver. Each channel switches at up to 630 Mbps, enough for high-speed serial links in display interfaces, backplane data distribution, or camera-to-processor bridges.
At 630 Mbps per channel, the driver supports LVDS signaling at rates typical for parallel-to-serial conversion of 24-bit RGB video at 60 Hz or high-speed data aggregation over a ribbon cable. The 3.3V supply and LVDS common-mode range pair well with standard 100-Ω terminated differential pairs.
