Eight-channel LVDS driver for high-speed serial links
The Texas Instruments SN75LVDS389DBT is an eight-channel LVDS line driver designed for point-to-point and multidrop data transmission over controlled-impedance media.
The driver inputs are LVTTL/LVCMOS-compatible, so a 3.3 V logic source drives them without level translation. 5 V logic inputs are not within the guaranteed input threshold range — if the upstream controller runs at 5 V, a level shifter or resistive divider is needed to avoid overdrive.
Housed in a 38-pin TSSOP (4.40 mm body width), the SN75LVDS389DBT shares the same footprint as the wider SN75LVDS389 family.
Temperature grade limits the deployment envelope
It belongs in office equipment, consumer displays, and indoor telecom gear — not in engine bays, outdoor enclosures, or factory-floor cabinets where ambient can push past 70°C.
