Single buffer in a 1×1 mm SON
The SN74LVC1G34DSFR: That 32 mA drive ceiling means it can directly switch a small LED indicator or drive the clock input of a downstream flip-flop without an external transistor — useful when you're routing a clean logic signal across a tight board. The 6-XFDFN package (6-SON 1×1 mm) is a near-invisible footprint — the 0.5 mm pitch and 1 mm body width demand a fine-tipped iron and a steady hand for rework, but the thermal pad on the underside pulls heat into the board plane so the junction stays cool even driving the full 32 mA into a short circuit at 125°C ambient.
The 74LVC series operates across -40°C to 125°C, covering industrial and automotive under-hood temperature bands. If your board sees 105°C on a summer engine-bay run, this buffer still holds its 32 mA drive within the datasheet limits.
Board-fit and supply rails
The single-element, single-bit-per-element architecture means it buffers exactly one signal path; if you need three-state output or a Schmitt-trigger input, the 74LVC1G125 or 74LVC2G17 are the next stops in the same family. On a two-layer board, keep the trace width under the pad to 0.2 mm and run a via-in-pad for the GND slug to avoid lifting the pad during reflow.
