Single buffer with 3-state output for mixed-voltage buses
The 3-state output lets you share a bus line; when the output enable is low, the output goes high-impedance, not a forced logic level. Each channel can sink or source 32mA, enough to drive a small LED, a relay coil through a resistor, or a short unterminated trace. The output drive is symmetric, so rise and fall times stay balanced across the supply range. Housed in a 5-lead SC-70-5 (SOT-353) package, it takes minimal board area — useful for compact designs where every square millimetre counts.
The 1.65V to 5.5V supply range means this buffer works on a 1.8V core rail, a 3.3V I/O rail, or a 5V legacy bus without a separate regulator. On a mixed-voltage board, one SN74LVC1G126DCKT can translate a 1.8V signal to a 3.3V output (or vice versa) as long as the input thresholds align — the 74LVC family's 5V-tolerant inputs accept up to 5.5V regardless of VCC, so a 3.3V output enable can control a 1.8V-powered buffer.
