Single buffer with open-drain output — level-shifting and wired-OR workhorse
The SN74LVC1G07DCKRG4: It accepts a supply from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. The open-drain output can sink up to 32 mA (low) while the high side floats, so you can pull it up to a different voltage rail for level translation or wire multiple outputs together for a wired-OR bus. The SC-70-5 package keeps board area minimal.
The open-drain output sinks 32 mA at low level. Because the high-side is open, you can pull the output to any voltage up to 5.5 V, independent of VCC, which is the key feature for level-shifting.
