Single-gate open-drain buffer for mixed-voltage buses
The open-drain output sinks up to 32mA, which allows direct drive of LEDs, relays, or bus pull-downs without an external transistor.
32mA sink — enough for indicator LEDs and bus termination
The open-drain output is rated for 32mA sink current with no corresponding high-side drive. This means the output can pull a line low against an external pull-up resistor, or drive a low-side load such as an LED with a series resistor. In a typical I²C or interrupt bus, the 32mA capability provides margin for multiple pull-up resistors or long traces. The high-impedance state when the output is off allows wired-OR connections.
SC-70-5 footprint — fits tight layouts
Housed in a 5-pin SC-70-5 (SOT-353) package, this part occupies minimal board area. The supplier device package is SC-70-5, with an alternative case code of 5-TSSOP. Surface-mount assembly is straightforward with standard reflow profiles. The small footprint makes it practical for adding a single buffer gate to an existing design without a major layout change.
Active lifecycle — no last-time-buy risk
The base product number is 74LVC1G06, and multiple package variants exist within the family.
