The SN74LVC1G06DBVRE4: The open-drain output sinks 32 mA when low, with no high-side drive. This is enough to directly switch a small relay coil, an LED with a series resistor, or the input of a downstream logic gate. Because the output is open-drain, you can pull it up to a voltage different from VCC — useful for level-shifting a 3.3 V signal to 5 V, for example. Just add an external pull-up resistor sized for the desired rise time and load current.
