What the 3:8 decode does on the board
The SN74HCS237QDRQ1 is a single 3:8 decoder/demultiplexer from TI's automotive-grade 74HCS logic family. It takes a 3-bit binary address input and asserts one of eight active-high outputs, or, with the demultiplexer enable, routes a data input to one of eight output lines. The 2V to 6V supply range covers both 3.3V and 5V rails common in automotive body electronics and sensor interfaces.
AEC-Q100 and the 125°C operating ceiling
This covers under-hood and engine-bay environments where the junction temperature can push past 105°C on a hot day.
