The SN74ABT373PWR is a single 8-bit D-type transparent latch from the 74ABT family, with tri-state outputs and a propagation delay of 4.6 ns. That 4.6 ns sets the timing margin for the latch-enable-to-output-valid window — at a 50 MHz bus cycle (20 ns period), the latch consumes under a quarter of the cycle, leaving headroom for the upstream address decode and downstream setup time. Output drive is rated 32 mA source, 64 mA sink — the asymmetric ratio is typical of BiCMOS outputs, where the sink side handles the heavier capacitive load of a shared bus backplane. The 64 mA sink allows direct driving of 50 pF traces without an external buffer, provided the total bus capacitance stays under the 50 pF derating curve.
