RS-485 transceiver for extended-temperature industrial buses
The 70 mV receiver hysteresis provides clean signal recovery on long cable runs or in electrically noisy factory-floor environments.
At 400 kbps the bit period is 2.5 µs. For a 100-metre RS-485 segment the propagation delay is roughly 550 ns one-way, leaving about 1.4 µs of timing margin per bit after accounting for driver and receiver delays. This is adequate for polled Modbus or ASCII protocols but too slow for high-throughput Profibus or CAN-based motion networks.
It can be specified into a production BOM without near-term obsolescence concern.

The tube delivery is typical for prototype and low-volume builds; reel quantities are available through the supply chain.
