Rated for 5 Mbps, this part supports update rates fast enough for most sensor arrays and drive parameter uploads without pushing the cable into transmission-line territory. At that speed, stub lengths on the bus need to stay short — keep the drop from the main trunk under a few inches or the reflections will eat into the 50 mV hysteresis margin.
No AEC-Q100 rating here, so it is not aimed at under-hood automotive — keep it on the factory-floor side of the isolation barrier.
The narrow SOIC saves board area compared to the wider 7.5 mm SOIC variants, but the pin pitch is the same 1.27 mm, so rework is straightforward with a fine-tip iron or hot air.
