At 23 Mbps, this part handles high-speed point-to-point links where a half-duplex part would waste bus-turnaround dead cycles. Full duplex means separate twisted pairs for transmit and receive, so the bus can sustain continuous back-to-back throughput without direction switching — critical for encoder feedback or high-speed data concentrators. The 50 mV hysteresis filters out reflections on unterminated stubs, giving the layout engineer some margin on stub length.
