Wide-supply RS-485 transceiver for industrial buses
50 mV receiver hysteresis — noise margin on long cable runs
The receiver includes 50 mV of hysteresis, which cleans up the differential signal on long or noisy bus segments. On a factory-floor RS-485 run with common-mode noise from VFDs, that hysteresis prevents the receiver from chattering on a slow edge or a slightly unbalanced bus idle. It is a practical margin-budget feature, not just a datasheet line.
There is no last-time-buy deadline to track, and no forced migration to a different transceiver for the next board spin.
