SOIC-8 footprint and signal bandwidth
The OPA743UA is a single-channel general-purpose operational amplifier in an 8-pin SOIC package (8-SOIC, 0.154" width, 3.90 mm body). It delivers a 7 MHz gain-bandwidth product and a 10 V/µs slew rate, so it can handle fast sensor signals or audio-band waveforms without significant phase lag — the 7 MHz GBW means the closed-loop gain-bandwidth product stays flat up to that frequency, and the 10 V/µs slew rate supports output swings of several volts at hundreds of kilohertz.
Rail-to-rail output and supply range
The rail-to-rail output stage swings within millivolts of both supply rails, which is useful when driving an ADC input or a low-voltage load without headroom loss. Output current is rated 20 mA per channel — enough to drive a reference input or a small relay coil through a series resistor. Supply span runs from 3.5 V minimum to 12 V maximum, covering single-supply 5 V and 12 V rails as well as split ±5 V supplies. Quiescent current is 1.1 mA, keeping the thermal budget low in a densely populated board.
Precision and temperature grade
Input offset voltage is 1.5 mV typical, and input bias current is 1 pA — the CMOS input stage keeps bias current negligible for high-impedance sources like photodiodes or pH probes. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, so it works in industrial enclosures and outdoor telecom cabinets without derating.
