Slew rate and signal chain fit
The OPA646UB is a single-channel voltage feedback op-amp with a 180V/µs slew rate — this sets the large-signal bandwidth ceiling. For a 5 V peak-to-peak output swing, the full-power bandwidth is roughly 5.7 MHz (slew rate / π × Vpp). Below that frequency, the output tracks the input without slew-induced distortion; above it, the output slope limits first and the waveform rounds off. It draws 5.25 mA from a 9 V to 11 V supply span, so the power dissipation in the 8-SOIC package stays under 60 mW at 11 V — no thermal concern for most signal-chain boards, but worth checking if the ambient hits 85°C and the load is heavy.
Package and board integration
The surface-mount package mates with a 1.27 mm pitch solder-land pattern and is compatible with reflow profiles up to 260°C peak. Bulk packaging means the parts arrive in antistatic tubes or trays, not tape-and-reel; factor this into pick-and-place setup if the line expects reel feed.
