Wide supply span is the headline selector
The OPA445AU: Rated for a supply span of 20 V to 90 V — this is the defining parameter. An op-amp that operates from a single 24 V industrial rail all the way up to a ±45 V split supply covers applications that would otherwise require a high-voltage discrete design. The 2 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 15 V/µs slew rate are sufficient for low-to-moderate frequency signal conditioning: sensor amplification, active filters below 100 kHz, and servo error amplifiers.
Input and output specs for signal-chain fit
Input bias current is 10 pA typical — this suits high-impedance sources like photodiode or pH probe front-ends where bias current drift would otherwise swamp the signal. Input offset voltage is 1.5 mV typical; no auto-zero, but fine for most general-purpose loops. Output drive is 15 mA per channel, enough to swing into a 2 kΩ load at full rail or drive a modest ADC input.
