JFET input stage — 4 MHz GBW, 10 V/µs slew
Four independent JFET-input operational amplifiers in a single 14-pin DIP. The 4 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 10 V/µs slew rate position this part for precision analog signal conditioning where the input bias current must stay low — the 50 pA typical input bias is two to three orders of magnitude lower than a bipolar-input op-amp, so it does not load high-impedance sources like photodiode or piezoelectric sensor front-ends. Each channel delivers 25 mA output current, enough to drive the feedback network and a modest load like an ADC input or a 2 kΩ reference leg. The 1.5 mV input offset voltage is a typical figure — for precision DC applications, external nulling or a trim network may be needed, but it is within the range of general-purpose JFET op-amps of this generation.
Industrial temperature grade — -40°C to 85°C
Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, the OPA4131PJ covers the industrial temperature band — factory-floor PLC analog input cards, temperature transmitter modules, and outdoor instrumentation enclosures that see seasonal extremes. The 9 V to 36 V supply span means it runs on common industrial rails: single-supply 12 V or 24 V, or split ±5 V to ±18 V. Through-hole 14-DIP package (0.300-inch row spacing) — the legacy footprint still preferred in lab equipment, breadboard prototyping, and low-volume production where hand-assembly or socketing is the norm. The tube packaging is standard for DIP devices; no reel or tape option for this package variant.
