Package and board integration
The OPA211IDRGT comes in an 8-WFDFN exposed-pad package (8-SON, 3x3 mm) — the thermal pad underneath must be soldered to a PCB copper plane to keep the junction temperature within the -40°C to 125°C operating range. The pad also provides a low-inductance ground return for the high-frequency signal path. Supply span runs from 4.5 V to 36 V, so the same part works in a 5 V single-supply ADC driver or a ±15 V industrial sensor amplifier without a separate regulator.
Speed and DC accuracy for signal-chain design
80 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 27 V/µs slew rate mean this op-amp can settle a 10 V step to 0.01% in under 1 µs — fast enough to drive a 16-bit SAR ADC without adding a separate buffer stage. Input offset voltage is trimmed to 30 µV typical, and input bias current is 60 nA — the offset dominates the DC error in a high-impedance sensor front-end, so the 30 µV figure is the one to budget for the system accuracy. Rail-to-rail output swings within 50 mV of each supply rail at light loads, preserving dynamic range when the supply is as low as 4.5 V.
Sourcing and compliance
ROHS3 compliant per — no restricted substances above the threshold, which clears EU and global BOM requirements without a waiver.
