1.8V fixed LDO for low-voltage rails
It is designed for low-noise analog or digital supply rails where a clean, regulated voltage is needed from a higher input — up to 16V maximum.
63dB PSRR — cleaning up switching ripple
With a PSRR of 63dB at 1kHz, this LDO attenuates ripple from a preceding DC-DC converter by roughly a factor of 1400. That matters when the 1.8V rail feeds an analog front-end, an ADC reference, or a PLL supply — places where switching noise couples into the signal path. The 95 µA quiescent current keeps the overhead low for battery-powered designs.
The regulator includes an enable pin for on/off control, plus over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection — standard safeguards for a 50mA LDO that might see a momentary load fault or a hot environment. The maximum dropout voltage is 0.22V at full load, so the input rail can sit as low as 2.02V and still hold regulation.
