The LP2980IM5-ADJ is a single-output positive adjustable LDO from Texas Instruments, delivering up to 50 mA with a maximum dropout voltage of 0.22 V at full load. That dropout figure means the input rail can sit as low as 1.45 V above the set output voltage and still regulate — useful in battery-powered or post-switcher rails where headroom is tight.

PSRR is 63 dB at 1 kHz, giving this LDO decent rejection of switching-regulator ripple in the audio band. Quiescent current is 95 µA typical, rising to 1.2 mA max under load — low enough for always-on domains in portable gear.
