This is a fixed 4.7 V output LDO rated for 50 mA continuous. The maximum dropout voltage is 0.22 V at full load — that leaves only 220 mV of headroom above 4.7 V, so the input rail must stay above 4.92 V worst-case to maintain regulation. The 63 dB PSRR at 1 kHz is strong for a 50 mA LDO; it suits noise-sensitive analog supplies like sensor bias or ADC reference feeds where the downstream circuit cannot tolerate ripple from a switching pre-regulator.
Temperature range and protection
On-chip protection includes over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit shutdown — the regulator survives a sustained output short without damage, though the thermal foldback will cycle the output until the fault clears.
Supplied in a 5-pin SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) package, surface-mount only. The Enable pin allows external on/off control — pulling it low drops the quiescent current from 95 µA to near zero, useful for battery-powered designs that gate the regulator between active and sleep states.
