0.22 V dropout at full load — headroom planning
Maximum dropout voltage is 0.22 V at 50 mA output. For a 2.8 V rail, the input needs at least 3.02 V under worst-case load and temperature to stay in regulation. That 220 mV floor is tighter than many 3.3 V-to-2.8 V conversions allow — check the minimum input voltage including ripple and line transient. Quiescent current is 95 µA typical, rising to 1.2 mA max under all conditions. For battery-backed always-on rails, the 95 µA Iq sets the standby drain; the 1.2 mA ceiling appears during dropout or fault recovery, not steady-state.
