1 MHz gain bandwidth, 210 µA per channel — field-swappable general-purpose dual op-amp
The LMV358MM/NOPB is a dual general-purpose op-amp from TI's LMV® series, packing two rail-to-rail output amplifiers in an 8-VSSOP package. Its 1 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 1 V/µs slew rate handle the usual sensor conditioning and signal buffering tasks on a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply span. Each channel draws 210 µA supply current — low enough that a battery-powered field kit can carry a few spares without draining the workbench supply. The -40°C to 125°C operating range means it stays happy in an outdoor enclosure or an unvented panel.
Package and pinout — 8-VSSOP, orientation matters for hand rework
The 8-VSSOP package (3.00 mm body width) is small enough to fit tight layouts but demands a steady hand and a fine tip for hand-solder rework. The pin 1 indicator is a chamfer on the top-left corner when the part is oriented with the marking facing up — no lab bench needed, just good light and a magnifier. Surface-mount only — no socket option. If you are swapping it on site, pre-tin the pads and use a hot-air station at 300°C for about 30 seconds. The 160 mA output per channel means it can drive a modest load without external buffer stages.
Active production, ROHS3 — no last-time-buy pressure
Texas Instruments lists the LMV358MM/NOPB as Active with ROHS3 compliance.
