1.08 GHz jitter cleaner — what the PLL and I/O mean on the bench
The LMK04101SQE/NOPB is a PLLatinum clock jitter cleaner with a maximum output frequency of 1.08 GHz, placing it in the class of devices that clean phase noise on high-speed serial reference clocks for 10GbE, PCIe Gen3/4, and JESD204B converter sampling clocks. Input accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL levels, and the seven outputs can be independently configured as LVCMOS, 2VPECL, or LVPECL, so the same part can interface a crystal or a differential reference on the input side and drive multiple FPGA banks or SerDes transceivers with the appropriate signal swing on the output side. The 2:7 input-to-output ratio means two selectable input paths feed the PLL core, and the seven outputs are derived from the VCO divider chain — useful for fanning out a clean clock to multiple line cards or ADC channels without adding a separate fanout buffer.
