1.57 GHz PLL clock conditioner for jitter-sensitive chains
The LMK04011BISQE/NOPB is a Texas Instruments clock conditioner integrating a PLL to clean and regenerate clock signals up to 1.57 GHz. It accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers 2VPECL or LVPECL outputs, making it suited for cleaning jitter on high-speed serial links where phase noise directly impacts bit-error rate. The integrated divider and multiplier (Yes/Yes) allow frequency synthesis from a reference, while the 2:5 input-to-output ratio provides fanout for distributing a cleaned clock to multiple destinations without external buffers.
Supply, temperature, and package for board integration
Operating from a 3.15 V to 3.45 V supply, the device runs on a single 3.3 V rail common in communications infrastructure. Housed in a 48-WFQFN exposed pad package (supplier device package 48-WQFN 7x7 mm), the thermal pad on the underside must be soldered to a PCB ground plane for adequate heat dissipation. The surface-mount footprint suits automated assembly, but the exposed pad requires a solder stencil aperture that covers at least 50% of the pad area for reliable solder joint formation.
