Clock conditioner with 1:8 fanout, no PLL
The LMK03200ISQ/NOPB is a clock conditioner from Texas Instruments — not a PLL-based synthesizer, but a clean fanout buffer that accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and distributes them as LVDS or LVPECL outputs across eight channels. Rated to 1.296 GHz maximum frequency, it handles high-speed serial links (10 GbE, Fibre Channel, PCIe Gen 3 reference clocks) where the distribution path must preserve edge rates and add minimal additive jitter. The 1:8 ratio means a single input drives eight output copies — useful when multiple ASICs, FPGAs, or SerDes transceivers on the same board need a common low-skew timing reference.
