2.16 GHz jitter-cleaning fanout buffer
The LMK03033CISQ/NOPB is a clock conditioner from Texas Instruments that accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and delivers up to eight LVDS or LVPECL outputs at a maximum frequency of 2.16 GHz. The 1:8 fanout ratio lets a single conditioned clock source feed multiple downstream PLLs, converters, or FPGA clock inputs without an external distribution buffer.
Signal interface and supply rail
Differential input and output paths (Yes/Yes per the spec) mean the part is designed for the low-jitter signal chain typical in wireless infrastructure, test equipment, and data-converter clock trees. Supply voltage is 3.15 V to 3.45 V — a clean 3.3 V rail with less than 5% ripple is the practical target; the narrow tolerance leaves little margin for a noisy switching regulator without post-regulation.
48-WQFN package and thermal layout
The exposed pad is the primary thermal path; a solid solder-paste stencil aperture covering at least 50% of the pad area avoids voiding that raises junction temperature under continuous 2.16 GHz operation.
