3.1 GHz clock distribution — fanout, divider, mux in one
The Texas Instruments LMK01801BISQX/NOPB is a clock fanout buffer, divider, and multiplexer that handles differential and single-ended inputs up to 3.1 GHz. It accepts LVCMOS, LVDS, LVPECL, or RF sinewave on the input side and delivers LVCMOS, LVDS, or LVPECL outputs — so it bridges between different logic families in the same clock tree without a separate level translator.
Supply rail and fanout flexibility
The device runs from a single 3.15 V to 3.45 V supply — a narrow window that demands a clean 3.3 V rail with ±4.5 % regulation. Two internal clock distribution circuits can be configured independently: the input-to-output ratio is selectable as 1:8 or 1:6, so a single part can fan out one reference to eight destinations or split into two banks with different divider ratios. Both the input and output paths are fully differential, which preserves signal integrity over longer PCB traces and rejects common-mode noise from the supply or adjacent digital lines.
Housed in a 48-lead WFQFN with an exposed thermal pad, the package measures 7 mm × 7 mm. Supplied in tape and reel, this variant is aimed at automated assembly lines.
