Buffer with 2900 V/µs slew rate for signal-line drive
The LMH6321MR/NOPB is a single-channel buffer amplifier from Texas Instruments, delivering a 2900 V/µs slew rate and 110 MHz -3 dB bandwidth. It is designed to drive capacitive or low-impedance loads where signal fidelity through the line matters more than the amplifier's own gain. Rated output current is 295 mA per channel, enough to drive a 50-ohm terminated line to ±3 V without external buffer stages. The 14.9 mA supply current keeps the thermal budget manageable in the 8-SO PowerPad package.
Package and thermal management in layout
Housed in an 8-PowerSOIC (0.154", 3.90 mm width) with an exposed thermal pad — the 8-SO PowerPad footprint. The pad must be soldered to a copper plane on the PCB to pull heat out of the die; without it the junction temperature rises faster than the 125 °C rated maximum under sustained 295 mA output. Operating temperature spans -40 °C to 125 °C, covering industrial and automotive ambient ranges. The supply span is 5 V to 32 V, so it runs off a single 5 V rail or a ±15 V split supply without a separate regulator.
